Happy fall from Michael Fortado State Farm!

I grew up in Flower Mound, TX and went to Marcus High School where I played football. I graduated from University of Arkansas with a degree with Supply Chain Management. After college I thought my next step was going to be law school until I got an opportunity to work in an insurance agency of a family friend. I have family members who are insurance agents so they gave me a lot of guidance with this decision. Working in the insurance office as an agent aspirant taught me how to find the auto insurance, home insurance, life insurance and renter’s insurance that fits the customer’s circumstance. After being awarded Agent Aspirant of the year in 2016, I knew my path was leading me to open my own agency. I opened my doors in January of 2019.

I feel blessed that I was able to open my office in Plano because there is a great sense of entrepreneurial spirit here and many small business owners, so I am in great company. I also love that Plano has great restaurants and a real sense of community. My beautiful wife, Danielle, and I love anything outdoors so we like to spend our time hiking, fishing or on her family’s ranch.
